OFO = “OK FINE ORTOSLON”
I made a game called…
Don’t Lose Your Head
I made it in Game Maker after not making anything in it for a while, and it was a pretty refreshing experience. I threw it together in two days — and while it definitely made a lot of things easier, I’d still stick with my current setup for a whole host of reasons.
But it revived my trust in GM as a really nice starting point; then again, I also learned a bit of MMF2 a few days ago and that went really smoothly too!
Anyway. Without further ado, I present to you
THE GAME, and
THE SOURCE CODE (warning: there may be some minor differences :x)
Also it’s for game maker 8, so take that into account if you need to use some version-alteration utilities!

Hi!
Just passing by. Now that I found your blog i can tell you how much I appreciate your work! Don’t want to be a fanboy, but you’re one of my favourite game designers out there, and I tought it would be nice to tell you.
I found DLYH in jayisgames, great game although I felt it kinda short (but then, considering it was made in two days, it’s ok).
The randomness factor was a nice twist, even if it became extremely unforgiving on some levels.
Keep up the good work!

I AM AWESOOOOOOOOMEEEE!!!!!!!!!
(To put this in context, I just won Scary Places and am about to get the Last Goldfish medal, which is the last one I need. Don’t know what DLYH is like, I’ll probably give it a try in a couple of days.)

Odd place, I know, but it’s just that it’s such a rewarding experience. And when I got the final medal and the bugger told me his name, I mean, I almost cry! It’s like he’s me but awesomer!
Oh, and I finished DLYH (except for One Chance). Man, what a hard and unfair thing. Good stuff.
